You would have a tip on how to DVD recordings s.besten secure? I read again and again that DVDs do not last forever. So a backup is necessary. How many security because copies would be useful? And how often do you renew it?

As an addendum: I keep my backups in a CD case (plastic) on and in a cupboard (dark, clean).
Nevertheless, I am thinking, how many backup copies per original sense? As blanks, I use no-name goods from the supermarket.

With my Verbatim blanks, I had no problems. If I do s.die "Sky" blanks think of Penny ... So the only reliable as coffee cups, coasters ;-)

as a lump sum can not say. Basically it is important that the blank with your burner harmony. What we have here goes well, the somewhere else is not doing. Most Brenner Manufacturer indicate lists with specially recommended blanks out.

As a backup of the actual movie in my opinion you should use DV tape. If the film is too long, at two (or more) to distribute cassettes. The tapes directly from the editing system described.

Sorry, I am synonymous of securing a warrant based film, which is available on DVD and previously at DV gedeht and was cut.
If the recordings with a DVD recorder has been made, then I would try to clone DVD with a copy thereof to be drawn and / or the file of the disc to a hard drive.
