Frage von Daniel_E:Hello ....
Have me last week to SonyHC-24 purchased on the Internet. At their first recording but one very annoying hum was heard from the drive. On the recording of this sum is also heard in quiet passages.
I had previously informed about the band sounds of the individual to the Manufacturer and therefore Sonygegriffen. Unfortunately, you can make at MM & Co no recordings with the equipment.
How many drive noise, then, are above normal for Camera? We may find some posts relating to but unfortunately not on just this camera. I hope someone with the same model and the HC 23 or 35 times can post their experiences. 've Still got some time to send their cam back to possibly.
My old Hi8 machine had no or much lower volume sounds.

Hi Daniel,
Drive noise in quiet passages are at (nearly) all consumer camcorders completely normal. "Fast" actually excludes only the higher-priced models in the so-called MIDI format, so for example a VX2100. However, the costs synonymous, the 8-fold of your camcorder. ;-)

Thank you for the quick reply. The contribution of the HC-17, I had already read. This is exactly synonymous my problem. Since I am quite in terms of DV Beginners, I do not know how much tape noise is normal. It is more synonymous to this sonorous hum and buzz.
I find even at

Yes, I should not expect miracles of a 300 Euro Cam, although we have a somewhat synonymous in quiet passages acceptable sound.
Luckily, our wholesale store around the corner, the HC23 has been today for 299 euros on offer. 'm Going to buy one with money back guarantee. Bin ja mal gespannt whether the synonymous so buzzed. If not, the HC24 comes back. Hope this works without problems. Will report here later.
Many greetings

Dear Daniel,
Please do not forget that your camcorder for 300 ¬ for the absolute count and subclass as are necessary for a cheaper price, all sorts of compromises.
It can be hard to say in words how much drive noise is normal, but conversely I can say that noise from drive camcorders are perfectly normal - even when better models, at ¬ 1,000.
Another factor is the automatic level control, which amplifies the signal in quiet passages and thus the drive noise audible in the first place. Help here, a manual level control, but is found only in higher-value camcorder.

Which camcorder to 300 ¬? - Need Advice!
Antwort von Daniel_E:
Hi Markus,
'm Already aware that a ¬ 300 camcorder is set in the subclass. The compromise is indeed a one anyway, for example in terms of image quality or features / functions. That is then added more synonymous with an ugly buzz that I had not expected, however. As mentioned earlier, my old Hi8 Cam did not have this noise. And that is synonymous rather a subclass model. (SonyTR??)
But apparently you have to put up with nowadays. No matter what Manufacturer you select.
By the way: The HC-23 synonymous causes this noise. Had not been tested or the next recording member, had just returned to the Cam again. 'm Going to keep the HC-24 only once. Recording times for vacation and a celebration it is sufficient.

Daniel

As I said, miniaturization and rigor have raised drive noise to a new dimension.
