Hi!
I make video's plane (very professionally) and is with the Panasonic NV-GS80. Now I would like however to SonyHDR-HC5 switch to HDV quality to have. Now I have not much money in his pocket and wanted to ask if someone a very good offer has been, unfortunately I have only ever used on eBay, Amazon and other found a price of 950 ¬ ~ proud impact. Or will the price dan in coming months / weeks might fall? Then I wanted to ask about this, what I need for HDV editing: Special type of tape? Any PCI card for the PC? Special processing program (had times of Canopus Edius HDV or heard so ...)? Is the purchase of an HC5? I have videos of another videographer seen, which looked very professional and had an incredible focus (though runterskaliert at 1024x576, but the video makes the grade so sharp). The guy had a HC1. And this, unfortunately I do schärfe nciht with the NV-GS80. But the videos are so sharp as his, so I think there s.eine HC5, because the HC1 is me but a bit too expensive.

One can only guess - but I see no reason why the HC5 should be more expensive. Alternatively, you could be synonymous with the Canon HV20 into consideration.
Editing software - for HDV is now offering several programs to cut, at the beginner tools kanns VdL, Adobe Premiere Elements, Ulead Video Studio or Pinnacle Studio to be synonymous with the great tools gehobeneren kanns synonymous Adobe Premiere Pro2, Edius and Vegas 7.
A reasonably fast PC, it should be for HDV editing, but have to hold minimum 3.0 GHz P4, better a 2-core system.

So, would the PC because nu reasonably sufficient power? I do (and will continue to edit them ...) they are currently as follows:
1. Recent MiniDV 'ler s.PC connect with Firewire
2. With Windows Movie Maker capturing
3. Crop
4. On PC as DV-AVI file (often around 5GB per video)
5. With Edius converter into a recognizable Edius pro convert AVI format
6. In Edius per edit (filter, etc.)
7. Save as AVI
8. With Windows Media Encoder to 640x360 (16:9) or frequently resize 854x480 or 1024x576
9. Encoding to WMV file
10. Done.
Would it all just work with HDV? Or keep my PC does not like? Yes I will only trim, resize and encode.

You can for ANY DV camcorder, no preference whether widescreen, narrow wall or whatever normal DV tapes are used. Even if you persuade SONY wants something else. For expensive money which is not stupid.

But I still would like to know: How is because now the number of pixels together: When is the Panasonic GS500 "3x 1.070.000" So then a total of 3.21 megapixels, I understand this correctly? Un GS320 stands at the "3 x 800,000 [total]; 3 x 540,000 [effective; 16:9]." So what is this supposed to mean now? Overall, the 2.4 MP here now, right? or does not go here with the effective pixels, which is 1.62 MP? What does any "effective" and "total"? What is there now the crucial number? I can enlighten jmd.

Jo, the wär nett! Booyah! But just to be abuse, with color, and Auto Backlight Correction test, and important focus. So a few seconds to a place still hold, and not in the dark would not be bad ... Of course, you need only do if you have time and there are no circumstances does!

The video is not much sharper, if you have a PAL camera with more pixels buy, there will be no more than through better quality of the camera a bit better. PAL has only 414,720 pixels anyway, and there are no longer recorded. More pixels on a small chip mean a worse light sensitivity.
The HC 5, synonymous no microphone input, the HV 20 has one.
