Frage von maze81:I will soon buy myself a new camera.
Some years ago I would have resorted to the VX2000. But now that the HD cameras will come out and assert themselves in this format especially apparent as DV one day, I am considering whether I look at the Sony FX1 Of Selling.
Wanted time to hear your thoughts. Especially if the very Sonyeine investment is worth it? Are there alternatives? With what additional costs (Equipement) I need to rake (g5 dual Mac I have).
Thank frequent ones.

Hi maze81,
the solution of the problem is not that easy. I have stood in May last year facing the same problem and I opted for the VX-2100. For me the FX1 brings no benefits and is synonymous for the next 5 years to be. For HD, I need a new television, new DVD player that there are as yet, and probably synonymous a new Calculator. And now add in HD and then convert to DV for editing makes no real sense. One could argue that you yes, then at least the raw material or as HD. However, would be of no use to me, because I lack of time anyway not get to that, subsequently edit the material again.
What bothers me s.der FX1, that it is not capturing DV and MPEG and so much more compressed (necessary because otherwise, by any amount of data recording on DV tape is possible).
I have not regretted my decision. It would be interesting times is a direct image comparison, which is not available to me. Occasionally, reports of disadvantages of the MPEG recording, synonymous We have heard repeatedly of the FX1 users who are completely satisfied. Allow me, therefore, in this respect a ruling.
Oh yes, and in my decision I assumed that I will buy me in 5 years time once a CAM (then probably a HD).

Thomas

Hello,
I have until the summer of 2004 with VX2000 filmed, was very happy and then I bought an FX-1.
Why, I had the opportunity in the Russian Arctic filming these rare and shots should be filmed in the best possible format to me. In a few years will be the HDTV standard, the other 16:9. I give Thomas right that we currently HDV not necessarily need, but the beautiful images now filmed in 4:3 DV will be used later, just barely too.
The VX2000/2100 is unbeaten in 4:3 DV and the FX-1 in lowlight absolutely superior. But just 4:3 and HDV, HD-TV is 16:9. As I see the problem and I've decided to shoot HDV to DV 16:9 And now handle just about.
With the further I had no problems so far. I capture as DV and verarbeite as before, synonymous with the first attempts were HDV-cut problem.
I cut with Of Canopus Edius. Here I have the opportunity DV and HDV on the timeline to mix. So I can to the computerized files dazulegen synonymous times a piece of HDV, and thus a loss (because DV is indeed smaller) magnification making. Very pleasant "waste product".
So my advice: Take the FX-1

Hello,
I do concur with the Council with the FX1 only.
I will buy myself shortly synonymous ne Camera and it will be a Z1. With HDV, you're the next few years to secure on the page, on the other hand FX1/Z1 is fully backward compatible, you can not just recording in HDV / MPEG runterkonvertieren synonymous but quite normal in DV or HDV footage of the Camera leave so that s.Firewire output a DV signal comes out.
I've worked with VX2000/PD170 and FX1/Z1 synonymous, and I like the handling of the HDV easy MUCH better, so I would recommend synonymous regardless of the HDV system.

Phew ...
ne up to me like Entscheinugn probably synonymous to soon.
Although I (not least because of the price) in direction of DV (VX2100) tend.
on the one hand, there is hardly ncoh HD capable devices (television, DVD player, projector, etc)
HDV, on the other hand is just not a HDTV, and that might someday come synonymous nor (in the famous 5 years), and then HDV is again Reconditioned, and could send a similar hall, they overtake MiniDisk or Jazz drive.
Conclusion:
Now bring me HDV still not much, (if I just nciht auisbelichten to 35m) because you do not want to look at, and for DVDs etc would count down anyway.
Until every household has an HD TV, with appropriate accessories, there are probably already corresponding "real" HDTV camcorder, and appropriate new standards.
Also, I am glad that I have my PC so much that he can work smoothly with DV .. If the deal is now the double Resolutionin MPEG 2, I again start at the front of.
So I'll probably over the next 5 years even with DV Rotate.
