Surely it makes sense when I next to a variable ND filter with a polarizer Outside synonymous (circular for the 7D? use), right?
And in what order because I have the screw on it? Do you also have a price / performance tip for a polarizing filter (I have an ND)?

So, a variable ND only makes sense if you want to reach an exact aperture value that you with a normal ND or a combination thereof does not reach. Or if the ND-Mechanik/Elektrik is driven by the auto iris of the camera to the Aperture instead of changing the amount of light, for example, to achieve in changing light conditions and constant DoF an identical time base.
Otherwise, variable NDs require considerably more attention in the Recording and the effects need to be mastered already.
One variable (Pol-filter) ND and an additional polarizer makes no sense at all. In general, I would leave out everything that sits in front of Optics. Only in rare cases heard before the Optics. But certainly not include tons of broken glass in front.

If I understand you correctly, does the ND filter in fact more or less synonymous functions of a polarizing filter? Money saved. :-)
I have therefore purchased a variable ND filter, because I want to film if possible with 1 / 50 and one of my chosen Aperture and have no money to buy me different solid-ND strengths and to change the filter at every cloud, yet works the some extent, it's been a fumble, I agree with you.

That would be synonymous really the only reason, otherwise you have the Polfilterkombination already ensured that the Picture is not to "blunt" is, of course, because the polarizing filters do not lose their "grandfathered" effect.
We run such combinations of the motor-driven camera's automatic order, as described above, in a constant changing light DoF have, or are synonymous to change during the recording can. So we can use the DoF change during the recording.
But polarizer are not entirely uncritical.
