Frage von soflow:Hi
Following question:
"We have with the SonyFX1 recorded in HDV. Capture runs on Premiere CS3 on a Mac. Sliced be but in CS3 on a PC. Do we have to reckon with problems? If the material that we with Mac Capture, synonymous detected on the PC be? "
I look forward to your advice ...

Antwort von ziczac:
The Mac will read your material as Quicktime one. Your PC is so little can begin. So you will only DV-AVI convert them.
Antwort von PowerMac:
What "ziczac" says is wrong. The trail is about DV nonsense. It is to HD. HDV between Mac and PC is a problem. Once a week I answer this question. There are various Quicktime codecs, with which you HD from Mac to PC gets. Convert it is indeed.
Antwort von ziczac:
Sorry, the "HDV" I had read about.
But in principle you seem to me quite on track?

Hi you two
First, many thanks for the replies.
Now with all the problems of cooperation between CS3 and PC that are fixed, it turns me right now the next question. I will synonymous here in the forum after reading what is written about this. Nevertheless, the question here:
HDV is mpeg of Premiere CS3 captured. There are other options, but s.der data (showing the basis of the data set) no significant differences bring. Only the "export" I have the chance to choose lossless Avi ...
Question: Is it correct that in Premiere CS3 mpeg captured and exported only in Avi available? (Somehow it can not agree, the mpeg is a lossy codec, ...)
Lieben Gruß
Florian

Question: Is it correct that Premiere CS3 captured in mpeg That is correct.
The counterpart to Apple's ProRes codec is Appro at the Cineform codec, however, must be extra dazugekauft. Although this codec is currently the only, the Apple OS as synonymous runs on Windows and a smooth cross-platform editing allows.

Thanks Wiro
I did not know that. I'll see what the codec will cost ...

Antwort von Wiro:
Pass on that but you do not get heart attack ;-)
The 8-bit 1440x1080 version costs around $ 500, the 10 bit version is approximately 1920x1080. $ 1000 hard.
However, it not only as a Cineform pure "Codec" may be - that would be wrong. There is a real-time editing system for HD, which is the wavelet codecs operated. For details, see www.cineform.com.

Sheer video would be a cheaper alternative. And there are no gamma issues.,
Antwort von Uwe:
I am not quite clear why it is expensive stuff like Cineform for 500 - or Sheer video for 150, - crowns should buy. Apple offers very good codecs that run on both systems as there would be => QT / Still Image Jpeg and QT / animation ....
Antwort von PowerMac:
Sheer Video, however, is an excellent codec, which is not RGB YCbCr. problems. And no gamma issues between systems ...
