Have been a few weeks NEN new laptop (hp, dual core, Vista), and did my version 1.5 APP drauf played: Oh miracle, everything seemed to function normally.
Almost everything, as yesterday proved: The only times my MiniDV Cams (small, cheap and Sharp VLZ something Canon XM1) is connected, then gabs only problems:
The compiler can with the cams, the parts at the initial connection has been properly recognized, Vista made himself known with them (ie, matching Installed Drivers) and was equally synonymous with capturing the stupid Windows or HP-supplied programs. Habs tried to run.

I can with app2 on vista not synonymous capturing
nimm halt HDVsplit ..... so it goes

Adobe says Premiere Pro2 is not Vista compatible, then it is probably only 1.5 rather not be. Presumably you will be able to help None. But perhaps the Adobe forum knows more.
But there are now a few editing programs are compatible with Vista, such as Pinnacle Studio 11

SD was nothing but movies I only hd. do not know whether hdvsplit can capture sd synonymous. but otherwise there are certainly other tools can capture the sd. Firewire output on monitor while capturing? I have never had a preview when capturing to the system even more unnecessarily burdening the capture.
Adobe says Premiere Pro2 is not Vista compatible,
my app2 runs on each instance wonderfully on vista ..... just to stop the Capture

HDVsplit is here to HDV material into individual scenes to share, because PP2 can not. For SD material, there are Sclive

So, thank you s.Alle. Just once more in English-speaking leisure and Adobe forums I came to the following insights:
app 1.5 and 2 limited run on Vista, but not full stop!
Support, of course there are none, then you work on its unsupported platform.
isses ja actually logical, the new app cs3 is out for vista, because there are no motivation then obviously the old aufzupeppeln products. I was actually surprised that synonymous to the last capture / output firewire-zeimlich so everything works (with 1.5 app on vista)
s.alle 'guest': write it out a name / nick in your amounts, then there are no synonymous confusion (like Helmut)
s.Gast (1): nee, of SD actually nix I've written, just as of HD. the specified stop cams are ancient, so stop SD. HD is already the standard? (Envy!)
@ helmut: short information: I went to the output of the materials on NEN TV Screen (while working) and about capturing. Not necessarily about capturing with Picture ...
cs3 is still not out? Here one finds not so much over it ...

There is an Adobe CS3 trial version that can easily SD (no HD). Premiere Elements is synonymous with VISTA and costs less.
