In Device Manager it is listed, but under "computer" is not listed, so I can not access them.

Is this a known Vista problem? Unfortunately, yes. Evil tongues say that Microsoft would have the Firewire problems of XP/SP2 next over and perfected, so that in the future, Microsoft's (!) USB interface uses.

Well, I guess that s.Deinem assembled on the board firewire chip is located. The "like" Vista will probably not be correct.
For me, there is neither in XP nor Vista have any problems with the Firewire port and the detection of connected video cameras. Is not a regular problem.
