Hello!
The title may sound a bit confusing, but my problem is quickly described. I have a VIVO dongle of an ATI graphics card, the times I had taken. It looks like this:
zum Bild My Nvidia Geforce graphics card has an S-Video connection. Now I want to also with an S-video cable into the dongle, the other using a video cable (mini-jack as shown on the Picture of the input is to be seen) also s.den dongle connected and then hope that it will work. Unfortunately I find no documentation for use of the dongle, and my camcorder is a bit older and has no S-Video -Anschluss/Output. The connection of the dongle (which is on top, with thick cables off) does not fit into the graphics card, it's no S-Video plugs
Meaning and purpose of the exercise: I want to take with the camcorder recorded video s.PC with AE digitally post-process (blue screen). The camera is on so small VHSC cassette (PAL) on.
Do you think my project is worth a try? Or do you think, that's all cheese and have the appropriate counter-proposal ... please her damit! :)

That is not so!
The Connections s.der box are 99% among themselves but not with the "big cable" wiring.
The times and the box will be about 99% only with the old ATI work.
The S-video port s.Deiner Nvidia is about 99% of output and no input.
Conclusion:
Procurement you a clever analog / digital converter with Firewire for s.den PC. Another current digital video cam may HDV or other HD format to synonymous again clever filming them. With VHS so no one wants what to do.
It is synonymous to service your VHS stuff digitizer. Instead of an A / D converter to buy. Or borrow.

Hm, angry that the dongle is not universally applicable (as I had planned) because it has the Comp-in and - Out ... So maybe I would have the old ATI card installed again (if I still hab oo) or halt computer NEN wreck preparation for them again, then as the transfer medium to processing PC (LAN) functions. About a couple of corners, but free. :)
Again, a question addressed to the A / D converter, such devices are expensive? For example, eBay, there are various categories totally different for some much money (up to 79 ¬ I've now discovered, still more expensive elsewhere) but synonymous as "inclusive" adapter for video editing packages like this:

wire whip. Again, a question addressed to the A / D converter, such devices are expensive? Only if you get an A / D converter will have the synonymous something good. ;-)
There are simple Videograbber already p.20 ¬, but these are actually toys. To make a serious A / D converter for a week to
borrow, you have to lie down about twice. The question is halt, whether you like it enough 'times an analog video signal into the PC to receive "synonymous, or whether any claims are to be met. The principle of quality and the associated cost is always the same.
