Frage von campool:Hello dear slashCAM!
My current project is the capture of this year's X-Circus Ruhr. In our production has four cameras in use. 3 of them hang in the stabilization of the Truss poles in about 4 meters Height. Because of today's hazy weather seems down s.den masts rainwater to be run in my NV-GS80 and they have harmed. It struck me when, after about two minutes no signal has been mixed operation. So I climbed up the mast and examined it. Outwardly, there was no damage noted, the display was a bit damp. When I did it collapses, ran down some water on the inside - it looked more like condensation of (the camera was turned on since Friday night and has become somewhat synonymous warm the tent, however, is well chilled). After a short test by removing the power supply and Wiederansetzen turned out that they are no longer synonymous intervened. Also a similar test with a battery was not new.
Against my thesis with the condensate is the fact that the other cameras were not synonymous moist - but synonymous were hanging about, warm DMX distribution of either rain or drawn of condensation. At present, dry the camera with an open display (I suspect that the water behind it through the speaker has been shed on the motherboard!) On the heating. Suppose, I turned on NOW: If I had warranty on the camera (she had bought p.27. December 2007 in the Saturn and the confidence I GUARANTEE BY A SINGLE PAYMENT OF 50 FROM TWO TO FOUR YEARS ¬ EXTENDED!) - or I have already veroren all claims by switching on the spot?
Many questions, I hope as many (like more synonymous!) Answers! ;-)
Best regards,
Tim

If a technician opens the Camera and then traces of water does - then the warranty regardless of any extensions out. This is for the workshop and a total loss by insurance châteaux and moisture, which is not of the guarantee cover.
