Hello,
I have a new notebook (with XP SP2) with a four-pole Firewire connection. If I close my VX1000 in there, they will be properly recognized. But as soon as I start the tape, break the connection. I stop again, the camera will be recognized again.
Can s.Kabel lie? This is completely new and was more ni upmarket. Leading Firewire Drivers downgrade patch and I have behind me ...

You have set up a firewall (Windows or virus software). This was once my problem.

I have the standard Windows Firewall. In the settings I had disabled it for the Firewire connection already, but nothing brought synonymous.
Virus disabled - nothing.
The Firewire port is synonymous OHCI-compliant, it will probably liegts not synonymous.
Right now I'm flat disk and install XP on your computer, then try again ... ichs
