Frage von 0711video:Ask for your opinion / experience on the following topic:
Currently I am filming on behalf of various private art galleries. The aim is to show the art facilities and as a stroll through the eyes of a visitor (not intercut, dhsStück rotated). Previously, I worked with a DV SonyPD 150 and a borrowed Steadicam Merlin. The problem: The work is exhausting and this combined with the set is very heavy. Long sequences are not possible.
I intended to buy a Steadicam Merlin (about 750 ¬) so I do not ever borrow the balance stand cumbersome. The problem of gravity will remain unchanged.
My sudden flash of inspiration!
Instead of spending 800 ¬ for a Merlin, I plan now, a canon
to buy 550 D with a 2.8 Tamron 17 - 50mm, which costs around 200 ¬ more, namely Euro 1000. This set (with which it may work once synonymous scenic / depth of field) then weighs about 1.1 instead of an expensive n.and Merlin would be synonymous as a simple tripod suspension of schwebi.tv g carries for 200 ¬, the cameras before 1400. I also have a "video camera", which works with high resolution.
During operation of the Canon 550 D on the balance stand so there are no manual intervention possible and one must work with auto focus. My question:
The focus is quick enough to adjust the focus changed quickly and accurately, or pumps, or are there? Image content would be: open door to enter gallery, shot / swing through space, reaching out to a picture, pan and continue on to a plastic.
I need your opinion / experience and assessment. Thank you
Joachim
Antwort von pilskopf:
You have there is no autofocus, forget that very quickly in a DSLR of Canon. What you need is a closed Aperture, a great WW and then everything will be sharp because the auto focus is set to infinity. And so we filmed it. Is synonymous with open Aperture and a good focal range, you must look, full sharpness you need but certainly not the focus area should then still be large enough.

Canon 550 D has no autofocus in video mode?

joachim Yes, but auto focus would be the wrong name ... Irgendwohinfokuswoichgeradelusthabe would be better

A focus on a dedicated measurement field, as in the photograph, no preference whether to mixed picture finder, cut image rangefinder, microprism ring or electronical sharp on a limited measurement field is on video basically meaningless because the picture so can change dynamically. A Mehrfeldentfernungsmessung is also meaningless, because during filming on the steady and specifically choose not the important field and the camera can not synonymous know which area for you is essential. The autofocus works with video cameras, therefore the principle of general contrast enhancement and the course often can miss quite a bit.
The most reasonable solution is therefore a Fixfokuseinstellung to 3 m, with Wide Aperture Angleund 8th Then you of about 1.5 m to infinity all relatively sharp.
As for the Schwebis work, in principle, all equally well when they are set correctly. But therein lies the essential and synonymous price difference. Time is Money and is in really good steadies at least the Feintarieren very fast. You can see zBsSteadycam Merlin. On the camera platform are two thumbscrews or roll-and spirit and thus the final fine adjustments are made in seconds. The necessary precision of such solutions is very fast into Money.
Antwort von pilskopf:
The fine adjustment should not be underestimated, it is my opinion, very important to be fast to use. An incorrectly set Steadicam makes neither fun, nor are really good shots succeed.
My tip, but I know the fine adjustment of synonymous Schwebis would not be either a Merlin or a Glidecam. As you get good and sellable again the hardware is well made. I personally prefer the Glidecam Glidecam be used as can the more flexible and it is clearly favorable than the Merlin, the price I find really outrageous.
