Frage von spiderfilmstudio:Hi,
I would now like to buy a Canon 550D. I'm just thrilled the artistic possibilities of the camera and take it synonymous in Purchase, the AF is useless in the Canon. Now I know not what lens should I take. Either I'll take the Canon EF-S 18-135 mm in the kit with the camera or I'll buy only the body and then to the Sigma 18-125 mm. Which is better? Are there any other proposals in the price range of around 280 ¬?
Thanks in advance

I'm also on the search. There are even a few Toppics dau ...
The Siegma or Tamron 18-200 did not really synonymous bad. Still has a slightly larger zoom range ...
www.amazon.de/Sigma-18-200mm-5-6-Lens- Canon / dp/B0007U0GYS But do not know how far it is suitable for video. Lowlight For yours and not really my ideal, since it would bring an f1.4 to f2.0. It has linked me of 3.5 to 6.3 which is not particularly bright.

I sell a grad Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 with image stabilizer and UV-filter ..... as new, remaining warranty and a Pentax-M 50mm 1.4 with EOS adapter and UV filter.
It's a great combination for the start-550D!

Apparently the Sigma 18-125 OS will be better than the Canon EF ... Processing much better zoom liquid (you should anyway, but not use it during the recording), the low focal length less blur, vignetting.
However, there seems always at Sigma quality problems, ie it may be you get a great lens, but can be just as good, you'll get with a broken image stabilization, etc. ..
The best way to buy the thing in retail and is testing it right, I'm told.
Also can the sigma of the image stabilizer is not really off, ie the engine is synonymous with off next OS and draws current. But is probably not too bad (but makes noises)
