Appro is currently working with CS3, and wanted to ask if I am the Canon Files
can import?

Yes Import. Native editing in the timeline yes and no - no more.
The best way to convert into a format which is liquid editable. But this is easily possible since you can even import and convert at least.
In CS4 that will go better.
