Works very well!
I connected my Canon HF100 and the 5D Mark II s.meinem old Samsung Syncmaster 797 DVI monitor. The monitor does not detect the signal, although it will be upscaled to 1080i and the picture quality is still very good and the focusing with the 5D is much easier.
