Hello dear forum!
I am still looking for a new full HD camcorder. The tests of both your camcorder, I read extensively, but I would like to seek views of opinion of some users.
The RF M306 can be had for just under 600 ¬, while the HG21 now costs ¬ 670.
The HG21 offers not only the minimal Lowlight better behavior, but synonymous already a 120 GB hard drive and a viewfinder.
The RF M306 to convince the sharpness a bit more (; synonymous when they labeled as "artificial"). In addition, it is not hard to drive, but exclusively to SDHC cards (: this is an advantage at all?).
Otherwise, both camcorders are similar relatively strong: Both have a rather weak wide-angle, average Lowlight properties and both have not quite competitive focus settings (and no touch screen and just focus on the menu).
According to the HG21 slashCAM indeed an infrared mode to be there, but I have not read anywhere else Nich, so that creeps me the suspicion that once again a misinformation on slashCAM!

Who has an HG21 or a HF M306? Each one possesses and reads here, so can say something about its device. Particular interest to me would be reviews of the M series, since it has not so cut off in test slashCAM particularly great.

At Canon going on in the development of the camcorder hardly what, therefore, the new device models of yesterday, with very minor changes, but a new name.
An alternative would be the Panasonic HDC SD66 or SonyCX 305 worth considering.

I have the same time (synonymous with research camcorder-test) after the two cams and was surprised that I am at my extensive search for a new HD camcorder am not yet encountered on these two models.
The disadvantages of the two raised against my Canon products but are also evident:
They both offer only one interlace recording modes. In addition, the Panasonic has no microphone ports, which could take revenge later. Moreover, the data rate of the AVCHD Panasonic is limited to 17 Mbit, what disappointed me most. Therefore, the Panasonics have excellent manual on intervention options.
The Sonyscheint me to be even more of a candidate, as they have a gigantic Wide Angleverfügt (and zoom, to me, however, is not so bad as important) and it shows a good behavior Lowlight (synonymous important). Negative at the Sonyist noted that it synonymous only the interlaced mode and has the manual intervention options are very limited (which I find very sad). In addition, there are (unfortunately) no detailed test for Sony.
Another question that brings me now to ponder is this: Should I not save maybe $ 500, so I get ¬ 1,000 in the lower category? When I look at every now and again the whole Cams mind think (because of good summary at camcorder-test), I see that there is a very large of 1000-1500 ¬ Choice. In particular, the HDC TM700 looks very interesting and appears the best price / performance ratio to offer in the price category. But other synonymous Cams, including some canyons, look much more promising in this price range! What do you think? Is it worth further draufzulegen 500-600 euros?

The Canon's take on interlaced. Only the Panasonic out of the 700-number to record progressive, there is the HDC SD707 the most favorable opportunity. The other 700 models of the 707 differ only by a built-in memory (flash or hard drive).
The progressive record, I would not be overestimated. First, it generates huge amounts of data and secondly, there is still no editing program to circumvent with the 1080p50 material properly, let alone such things can spend after the cut again. And you need a PC with powerful performance to 1080p50 (the need for synonymous 1080i50, a quad is a must, but 1080p50 is extreme).
Well, if it is worth, again draufzulegen 500 or 600 owls, you must know. In particular, the SD66 and the CX305 are not bad, the SD66 is for just 400 euros over the counter. For the performance of the camera are 400 euros a genuine offer and competition.
I prefer at least the memory card as a disk in a camcorder.
