Hello,
You can easily find that: Draw Your Camera to 16:9 anamorphic ( "true" 16:9) or a 4:3-picture with black bars (letterbox, "false" 16:9)?

Hello!
This is unlikely to capture true 16:9 camcorder ...
In this class, I have not yet seen it ... 16:9

Hello Everyone,
the chip size or the format of the image generation is a different matter. There is currently little consumer cameras (eg Canon XL2 and SonyFX1) that produce directly to the 16:9 image sensors and then Anamorphic (720 × 576 pixels with a pixel aspect ratio record of 1.42).
All the other cameras that offer anamorphic 16:9 to have a 4:3-image converter and read out from the wide screen. The disadvantage is that s.der upper and lower edge disappearing image contents, instead of left and right, the picture is actually wider. Technically, the picture is the same as for above camera (720 × 576 pixels with a pixel aspect ratio of 1.42).
