I want to turn a vacation video. I would like to make this video then transferred quickly to the PC, and then cut with a separate background music and then transferred back to the camcorder with the s.Television I look at it then.
Is possible with the Canon MV830i?

Yes, 830i and 850i have analog to DV and in. The bran "i" is the decisive factor.
830 (without i) no, there would be no DV / analog in. Thus, only the ability to burn after cutting the video to DVD.

My first DV - video I cut on a 450 MHz Pentium. Then you just need more patience ;-) Seriously, hard disks, memory, and should not be underestimated. It must be generated during the cut a lot of data!
