Hello!
I want to buy me a camcorder and have these three cams considered:
Canon MVX 4i
Panasonic NV-GS280
Panasonic NV-GS300
These are priced so classified in one segment. As a Newbie but I can not judge the quality differences. With the cam I want to turn private holiday films (ie not a prof. Use!). Important to me is a good picture-and sound quality. I already have a 5MP digital camera, so the photo quality. the action does not matter.
What cam would you recommend. Do you have alternative proposals?
Although this is the X. Is contributing to the purchase of a cam, I would appreciate a feedback.

Nagut, now the question: Canon MVX4i would = good shots (to see 1 / 2, 8 "CCD with RGB filter), photos synonymous good, but net is important, but I would take net, with the zoom and the Micro somewhat cumbersome
Panasonic recommended = NV-GS280/300 very good images (3CCD), Leica Dicomar much = VERY good reviews, buying tip at all, good features
Difference is 280/300 = 300 DV - In, you can archive your projects (synonymous they can save as avi on the FP ...)

I've already looked at the manufacturers webpages and in various magazines ... because the Canon has partly been better evaluated (perhaps because of better picture quality.)
That is why I am a little irritated, because I have a Höhrer Vidoequali. Panasonic equipment with the "suspect". Is my assumption correct or otherwise ... the video quality difference is negligible in the devices?
I would later times, the devices look in practice ... The handling is so synonymous not to be despised (even as a newbie :-))

Huge differences are not determined. I would suspect the synonymous slightly higher film quality, the Panasonic and advise you on the GS300. Very nice, I think the 16:9 - Display. The only real negative point that I noticed s.der GS300 is the lack of headphone output.
The advantages of MVX4i lie in the manual level control and the headphones output. This is the upright body of the MVX4i not serve as pleasant, and it is missing (probably for reasons of space), the accessories-shoes.
Both manual level control as synonymous Headphones output are features that are difficult to use on vacation, which only becomes important when challenging films, for example, to events.
The GS280, I would not take because of the lack of DV - In. Otherwise you can not cut the film to tape and replay spend only DVDs.
