Hello Beloved,
it's about my Canon XL 1st Unfortunately, I can start with not much of, because nowadays, I can not play tapes or take pictures. Although the mini-DV is loaded correctly and is properly drafted synonymous then go for nothing at all. It only shows "Eject on", so the cartridge is flashing and I have to take out the MiniDV cassette. Does that sound like a serious error, therefore, has the repairing or possibly what with the DV activation or software update to be done.

I think the drive is broken or at least should be looked through times of Canon. In a review of Canon's very generous and mEn before everything changes from nearly worn out. I have paid for EUR 200.
You are a preliminary, it could be, try twice (maximum) with a miniDV cleaning tape. Too much würd eich rumfrickeln but not himself in it.
Is there a software update for an L 1? If so, where you can download this and where you can see what firmware it has? DV-activation?

thank you for your answer. Yes with a MiniDV cleaning I've tried it synonymous, but each MiniDV is immediately fired, I can not even get to the cleaning process. Well, I must give it or not the thing in for repair. Nope, was due to software update I do not synonymous knows the only way made as a question.

Does your back? After the repair?
've Bought the camera yesterday and actually wanted to start editing right away ...
(And I've already checked with the MiniDV whether SAVE or REC governor was s.der correct place)

Hmm, got the error when I found ....
(Somewhere in the forum Plunged been synonymous at times ...)
Did the MiniDV tape inserted in the tray, just wait until the camera feeds the tape ", then close the cassette door and then the door to make - now works.
Phew, thought the camera was broken .....
