Love slasher, recently I purchased a used XL1S and the first two tapes (more bad than right) filmed. Unfortunately, my instruction manual says nothing about data transfer to PC. The manual is silent from genteel. My "dealer" could not help me.
I need a cable (S video? Or what?) Between camera and PC, and then probably cutting software (the study of a magazine is in my small claims Roxio probably sufficient). Alternatively, I could the tapes to my DVD recorder and then play DVDs of the cut. Can someone help me?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Bin underway to purchase a FireWire cable. Security Halber I FIRST on PC and Camera nachgeschaut and white now that I only 2x4 poles (ie the small times) use it.
