Frage von mekkk:Hello,
I have a Canon XM2 and use Adobe Premiere for post production. Now it would interest me the following.
how can I capture at the max. quality rausholen?
what are the best settings?
I once read somewhere that it should be possible synonymous recorded material to capture hdv to ... this is only a rumor a?
The second question would be:
I can cut and edit .. after the film with the highest export quality?
what format, what settings?
Thank you!

Hi mekkk,
the capture of MinDV camera (and here, the Canon XL2) card to your PC via firewire you have no loss of quality because the data is copied, only 1:1. You then have DV-AVI files on the calculator and they can easily edit with any editing program. There are offering Prgrammer which dirket the capturing to MPEG, renounce them!
The best export quality you get when you start exportierst to the original format, (; ie DV-AVI). This format is suitable, however s.Calculator view only because it is both for the Internet as a synonymous for a DVD too large (; about 12 GB per hour).
If you have enough space on the Calculator, cut export your movies as DV-AVI quiet erstmal. Then you always have a backup of your movies in best possible quality, synonymous if you have deleted the entire raw materials including Projektdatein already.
What will you do with your shooting, then?
From HDV material to DV material is difficult and not really leads to an optical improvement, stay with DV.
