Frage von Klausi2000:Hello,
I have very recently bought a Canon XM2 and wanted, as it is in the various tests means that the DV interface is extremely sensitive, video capture via USB ... My Programs, however, find the camera when it is connected via USB ... via USB, I can only access the SD card, but not to the tape ...
I lock the camera via the DV cable, it is instantly there ... is detected and I can work with.
Is this now only s.mir or I can not capture via USB?
If anything I s.den settings? The manual gives her nothing and the included Canon software is synonymous not helpful ...
Thanks for the effort!

You can not of the XM2 USB capture. The USB interface on the XM2 is intended solely for photos. (Video via USB is only for very few DV camcorders, and where synonymous not always reliable.)
Firewire is the best in years and mature connection to watch videos of DV camcorders in the computer to get. All editing programs support it. Even when it seems you went immediately. So what herumärgern with USB? ;)

So what herumärgern with USB? ;) Because here in the forum always talked about was that the DV interface is extremely sensitive, with the XM2 not hotplugfähig etc ...
and if this is easier with USB would have been ... well, then do not stop and I must pray and hope that my DV interface keeps long ...
Thanks for your answer!

Hello Klausi,
erde you to reduce static electricity, electronic equipment before you and touch your camcorder or connect. Then nothing should happen.
