I have recently bought a Canon XM2, I'm quite satisfied so far damit.Ich have only the problem that I have the recordings are not on the Cam can look. "Foreign" tapes are s.and s.problematisch. Perhaps you have as a silly mix erwischt.
For your own recordings, which are not played are: go to a third camera? Does a cleaning cartridge?
When everything is "no": then you should have a call to the Canon service to think.
