I have a quick question. I have a Canon MiniDV camcorder and bought about a Sony MiniDV tape. Now I have read you should only the tapes of a brand for the future use and not out and switch. Good, that would be no problem. But is it so that only synonymous Canon Camcorders Canon cassettes are suitable SonyKasetten the camcorder and broke it?

Know whether someone JVC and TDK tapes tolerated?
Has until recently had yet JVC's and am used, since it no longer exists on TDK's changed. Hab ne incidentally Panasonic.

But often change tapes and Sony Premium in Canon & JVC Camera (especially JVC) reinzu basket, plus I would not recommend.
I have in my service a few Canon & JVC cameras had very quickly in time to guarantee the company would have been sent, not infrequently, the filmmakers used Sony Premium - I do believe the truth because what is truth.
Sony cameras but they are very well to cope with their tapes, I like Panasonic and Fuji DVC tapes.

Cleaning tapes are pretty much the evil of what there is. I (and many others) make it so that it is only a cleaning of the head drum cares if visible defects are in the Picture. So all the shots always timely control. And then go to the qualified service. The scrub is synonymous pretty s.den heads around, but that does not seem to be so burdensome as a Reinigungscassette. My BVV-5 came in this way with the first drum head to around 2,000 hours. (only very roughly, at 1000 hours, the counter is finished)

A cleaning cartridge has approximately 5 times more abrasion than a standard DV cassette.
If you drive in your 10Sek searched synonymous, the same out alsob you have around a normal 50sek Video drin hast.

The trend is only in the direction that Sony is not excessive premiums with Cano models and more importantly with JVC cameras tolerated.
There are some synonymous determined here in the forum, a Canon MiniDV Premium use with Sony years time and have no problems.

Yes wär nicht schlecht.
About Canon & JVC film, about which I spoke, came often in the warranty period (for Canon shortly thereafter), thus after about 1 year, formerly of the A Other synonymous later. Some synonymous with 2-3 years after the camera purchase.

I use only Fuji tapes in my Canon XL1S, so have so far made good experiences with.
Synonymous is important that the tape is clean, had a look at a rotary tape (Sony) get that ever was played. Canon is my very bad I could get u like 2 times the cleaning tape to run before I could turn back. Can highly recommend anyway, when the regular Canon cleaning cartridge to run, otherwise it may come to Aufnahemproblemen (blue building, because no recordings). I now have an extra cleaning cartridge of Canon purchased.
