hello all of you,
I have a Canon MV 600i camcorder and I wanted time to draw a self-recorded video on my pc.
furthermore, I have a amd 64 3000 +, 1 gb ram, windows xp professional (service pack 1) and a FireWire desktop kit of Sitecom.
had already searched the forum but have found the right either net or it was still posted net.
so now my answer:
I used already 3 different editing programs:
1. pinnacle studio 8 se (this was with the camera)
2. adobe premiere elements 1.0
3. win the DV program of your site
but I have always the same problem when I try to capture the film, s.anfang running everything is going smoothly, but after a short time the program stops the "capture" and only my camcorder running next.
depends on when I press STOP on the application to capture and displays in the task manager:
no feedback on.
I then must finish the task. If I then re-start the program not responding and nothing more of the task manager is once again my last solution. it helps just reboot the computer.
to me it always as before as if the net connection is so great, or is disturbed! I already tried a few things:
1. hdd defrag (a partition completely empty, 47, .. gb free)
2. firewall and antivirus disabled
3. single-cable and unplugged, and much more
I know more next echt net so people I have an open ear for every suggestion! :)

How is your hard drive formatted NTFS or FAT32. If you have a FAT32 file size limit, which does not exist on NTFS. Video systems because of the enormous amounts of data should always be formatted in NTFS.

I tried this now with Scenalyzer times, exactly the same problem, after about 30 seconds he stops to capture the program and there is no rückmeldung: ((

Synonymous This could be a multiple of an address. From Windows XP, although Microsoft says that is irrelevant, but what has been already said everything.

Hi,
have the firewire card ne ip assigned. s.anfang it was actually quite good, but then again the same problems with the demolition of the capture.
had little time, thank god, and now have my 1:21 video on the computer for about 4h. had to keep rebooting a few times in the time and to defragment the partition. I eat what an STD, but yes habs finally behind me ... :))
Now I have to edit it all "only", wish me luck, that little bit better now works. :)

'm now at about 4h after my 1:21 video on the computer. Oh, oh, that sounds like an LP recording. Have you switched instead of SP (Short Play) to LP (long play) in the recording, so that as much as 90 rather than 60 minutes to fit on it?
Then, all problems could be synonymous plain and simple drop-outs to be that every good program stops.

For me the problem is in fact similar:
For a year I have a camcorder, a month ago, I wanted to record a mini-DV cassette. After 15 to 25 minutes (several attempts) while running the Cam next yet, but the counter for a replay will be available, and the recorded video ends just synonymous for 15 to 25 minutes, when I look at it later.
I had originally thought it s.Platz is on the record: I had an idea that might be cached on the system partition and transferred only after the completion of the specified location is. After I created on the system partition is a little more space, has been recording for longer, which supported my idea first. Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure it it is not.
