Are the cause of the problem, the overwritten files from SP2 and Avc.sys MSDV.SYS.
Since I can not uninstall SP2, I extracted these files from the Driver.cab in the Windows system32 directory and existing under windows \ system32 \ drivers overwritten.
Since then, including rebooting) (seems to connect to work now.
If you think that might help one or the other synonymous, you can do that yes to your 1st Add Point.

was synonymous with similar difficulties in connection with one Cannon MV 700 camcorder.
PC hangs completely after a few seconds of recording time: Stillimage in Aufnamemonitor, Camera runs next, had no remote control (via recording program tested several already) possible. Program must be task manager, sometimes it helps to be completed only Poww reset.
Can not find your set of files. The PC in my office has XP but no fire wire card. I need the full path for both files
