The dubbing of material on a miniDV via firewire is only possible in real time. That is, for 90min tape you just need 90 minutes of time.
If your capture program has divided the film, then you probably formatted your file system to FAT32. Since the maximum file size is 4GB. More is only with NTFS. Let us not of older operating systems such as Win95 etc supported.
Proposal:
Compose your file system to NTFS, and invite you Scenalyzer for capturing via Firewire connection from the Internet. After your movie is as AVI on the hard drive and can be edited with video editing programs. Export up as MPEG2, DVD authoring and on the DVD.

Hello,
optimal workflow is always DV> capturing via Firewire> DV-AVI> Edit> Export as MPEG2 for burning a DVD. If you like the capturing MPEG2 compress, you may giving away visible image quality and you do the editing of the images unnecessarily difficult.
