I was just on the Sony website for the camcorder around and discovered that the HDR-HC7E via an HDMI input features. See: http://www.sony.ch/view/ShowProduct.action?product=HDR-HC7E&site=odw_de_CH&pageType=Overview&imageType=Main&category=HDD + HDV
It turns me now whether you think about synonymous of an external video source material on the camera can record on besegten HDMI connection.
The basic idea would be the HD Picture a PlayStation 3 in the HD caputre'n. The console delivers as far as I know usually a HDCP Encrypted Picture, but can I HDCP in our debug console off.
If that is the tap of the image signal possible with this camera?

Sonybenutzt only HDMI outputs, which is synonymous for the new AVCHD Festplattencams SR 5,7,8.

- Mini Type C HDMI 1920x1080 Full HD Output

So far as I know that there are until now still not synonymous device, the HD signal (HD-SDI / YUV / HDMI) in the same HDV recording on tape can.
I have heard of the new HDV Recorder (successor of the M25) of the Sonysollte, but this will cost more than four times a HC7.
