Frage von hozz:Hello everybody,
when watching videos of holiday but is quite often on the wind.
I have a camera with built-in retractable Micro (SonyXR520) and am wondering how to prevent wind noise s.besten without the Restton suffering (the micro s.sich find ich super quality).
Simply a piece of foam stuck on it? Duct tape? Wollstofffetzen? Real "fur" (as had a rabbit skin to cut: p)? Or a completely different method?
Extra Micro's too expensive, I just thought that you can possibly even just mess around.
Has anyone experience (especially) what material?

Approval: simply glue foam on the Micro. Result 1A. We have cut simply old Microphone Poppschütze and secured with tape. This works fine for years.

Have super, though made two the same experience, then it must work out. I will then once synonymous with foam to try. Thank you.
Now, just how I look to take it. I guess very thin, should be sufficient, yes?
Do I have clubs but not the hare: D
Antwort von carstenkurz:
'Thin foam is' on most microphones on it, or already settled and fairly little use. But there are affordable to buy 'Fellüberzüge' which is synonymous to use later on other mics can, for example, or Rode Deadcats DeadKitten. If you have such material lying around somewhere, you can of course synonymous tinkering. Important is a distance from the microphone body to the windshield - that is a small wire cage (where we are on the rabbit skin - chicken wire) to recommend to the inside.

I would take fur. Synonymous costing only a few euros. The foam windscreens not already hold so much. Are original about 1cm thick.
Antwort von carstenkurz:
It could be synonymous time to think about rock wool or glass wool. However, the free fiber motion is very important, and the hinzukriegen safe from these materials would be difficult.
Aufm hype, it is easy and cheap of course, cotton candy for 1 euro and off you go, keep synonymous of their own.
I would look around once in junk markets for cheap long-haired stuffed animals. But please do not support Katzenfellimporte from China! ;-)
