Hello folks!
I will be coming to me in time an HD camcorder growth. First I wanted the Canon XH A1, but as I now know how much the HVX 200 is better (in terms of synonymous film look), I would rather this growth. The only thing I still discourages purchase of the expensive storage medium. The 8GB cards cost yes to the 1200 ¬. Would be most profitable for me, nor the Gates Fire-100GB hard drive, but with over 2000 ¬ EXTREMELY expensive. My PC has only half the cost! It must have a curious low-cost solution.
I've heard that old iPods with Firewire connection synonymous should function. But there are still parts? If yes, how much memory it had and has a maximum of perhaps someone with the HVX200 record of material on such a device experiences?

But what speaks against it, a professional (= more expensive = high quality) camcorder a memory option to spendier? Moreover, it is a simple calculation: Even the purchase of two P2 cards would be more expensive than the hard drive and the latter has a much larger storage capacity (= better price-/Leistungsverhältnis).
Order in a rather ironic nature back to your question: If you really want cheap, get to record MiniDV cassettes. That the recording is to be made in DVCProHD, was not specified. ;-)
