Hi all!
I've logged into the board myself here because I want to buy my first "real" video camera and would take a few buying tips.
I had the price set forth on the area below 5000 euros, so my choice falls on the HVR-Z7 or) the EX1 (both on ebay for between 4000 and 5000 to get. Because it here for the Z7 is still no review I wanted here in the forum to ask what the main differences between the cameras and for which you would choose you. I really like the image quality is synonymous (important in low light!), Lies not so much what new technology to elaborate or what new formats, the cam can.

I have compared many videos on youtube, I have noticed is that the videos were made with the ex1 were always a bit of blue tint (especially in bright light) and the colors of z7 were much stronger. If the only s.fehlender farbkorrektur or makes z7 really "beautiful" colors? The Ex1-shots for me has always looked more like DV, wärend to the z7 somehow "analog acted" and warmer ...

Both cameras can you change in the basic settings so that they match your Geschack; to separate individual settings for red, green, blue and black. From the videos on the net, one should not expect too much, then one must know already, what settings have been made with them.
Benefits of Z7: you can replace the lens, it fit the usual Batteries such as NP-F970, which are significantly cheaper than the EX1 Batteries. Synonymous, and the Compact Flash cards for the Z7 is cheaper than the SxS cards of Ex1. Synonymous or on tape recordings possible.
Advantage of the EX1: brighter, better resolution (at least if one chooses the maximum setting), CA-correction (at least when not zoomed).
Wide Angleist well in both display as well.
It seemed to me on lenses, so I opted for the Z7 (and synonymous, because then I my previous accessories like Batteries and Lanc) could use the next control.
