Dear forums members,
the helpful tips in this forum, I used to a system for a new PC together with the I (purely private and without frills) my videos from Panasonic NV-GS 180 to play on the computer and would like to burn a DVD.
It would be nice if you have any tips to improve or I would have to possible problems would (as the operating system I have Windows XP Professional envisaged with regard to the software I'm still undecided).
here we go:
Main board: ABIT IP35 LGA775 FSB1333 SATA RAID
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 GHz 6MB
Process Coolers: Arctic Cooling Alpine7
RAM: 4096MB DDR2-800 Mushkin kit SP2-6400
CD / DVD: Samsung 20x + /-RW LightScribe silver.
Hard disks:
Samsung HD200HJ, 200GB SATA (for system components)
- 500GB Samsung HD501LJ SATA II (For Files)
GraKa: - 512MB XFX 8500GT PV-T 86J silent
Could the system work?

Surely it can das DV material to process is not so terribly expensive. When RAM I have to remember that XP is not really with more than 2GB can bypass (or 3GB with appropriate settings, but this does not always work)

With the PC configurations can be very loosely synonymous cut and HDV editing.
As for the Ram's I can give less information, because I am a Mac user, but with 2 GB, you are not synonymous already poorly served.

For HDV loose enough, but why you have your brakes on the rig with 800 memory? Dignity rather than 3GB PC-8500, since the board is so 1066 or even more verraegt?

MB: For me, only ASUS
Ram: I only Kings (slightly faster than 800 would indeed be synonymous) with Lifetime warranty here in Switzerland (4GB with 4x1 or 2x2 are good for XPpro synonymous only 3.5 when used otherwise 3GB with 2x1 and 2x0.5 or 2 with 2x1 or 4x0.5 for dual channel but always from the same manufacturer and of the same ram, Vista uses as synonymous nothing except I think x64)
HDD: sata Gibts synonymous 10'000umin of Western Digital with a credible guarantee 5 years here in Switzerland
GraKa: I would be on the software you use Align
Brenner: I just Plextor or NEC
But DV cuts today synonymous hmm let's say a 600 euros PC or Notebook 900 euros.
And Vista is synonymous well if you do not create unnecessary waste and it makes the software is made for Vista.

If you are working with Adobe products to under Vista, there would be possibly one or the other problem (hearsay). What the components are concerned, is likely to improve performance marginally higher Clocked RAM fails, so the money you can save synonymous, unless you want to over clock the device. Whether or Abit Asus is certainly a matter of taste, I have been on so many different systems worked all their own quirks had a limitation on a manufacturer fails here imho is s.Platz (currently I use a Dual S-ATA AsRock of the stable until after I ran the onboard USB controller is disabled and a PCI USB controller was replaced. Since it is synonymous Mega Stable:)). Like an outpost already wrote enough for a 600 DV synonymous EUR System of the shelf, have the advantage with a single warranty brings. That is really not so simple ...
@ Thore: Well, whether I will be working with Adobe, I still do not ... I know I am not out and really just wants something very simple, not too expensive - I archive vsprivate videos, maybe cut or bischen times a text insert. That with the test versions is a good indication. And because good freeware (such as Open Movie Editor) what?
Maybe I am really a little less RAM, over clock, I would not. When the rod is simply a shame computers that usually do not have any such components are great and you do not adjust so well.
The monitor I would not be so important to take good notice. I would not necessarily wide and 19-20 inches would be sufficient to me. Have you given a hint?
@ Jazzy: thanks for the advice - the RAM, I could really have a different configuration. With the brand names I know not synonymous, but I thought that of me would be elected entirely synonymous OK.
@ & MiniDV shown: I think my Panasonic LV-GV 180 is not HDV but a DV camera, or? And I have understood you correctly, below: I should have a memory 1066er take?

Software / Freeware: I find awkward to use. For the first and last quite modest claims something like Magix or ne older version of the 'middle class' NLEs.
RAM: 1066er is too expensive for the fitzelchen s.Mehrleistung.
2 GB should be enough - not just the operating system, but synonymous application software entscheided how much is used and most consumer Programs benefit of not more than 2 GB.
If you do not want to over clock is the brand more zweitranging - no absolute hauptsache NoName scrap.
Monitor: my 'secret' when enough space auf'm desk is a good old Eizo 20 "or 21" CRT. Is the computer's processors already for about 50 Euro and both the Einstellmoeglichkeinten as the Picture are synonymous klasse. (zb EIZO FlexScan F 931 - Max Resolution: 2048 x 1536 / 80 Hz).
