Infoseite // Confusion - 720/50p standart?

Frage von Giliath:

Hi,
I have a question about the HDV format.
The European Broadcasting Union has said yes to her 720/50p format for HDTV broadcasting. In other words, 720/50p acquisition is the most common format of the public service broadcaster, right?

720/50p are so 1280 x 720 pixels at 50 frames per second.

When I look now popular VJ-camera such as the SonyHVR-Z5 or Z7-SonyHVR record on HDV 1080/50i 1440 x 1440 x 1080/25p or HDV. Now I'm confused. Why not choose the format for such camcorders 720/50p, but if it is to be standart "?

Greetings Gili

In addition to 1080i50 (many stations that broadcast via satellite DVB-S2) is now 720p50 standard for TV channels (ARD, ZDF, etc.) and HD broadcast, but no standard for the consumer camcorder HDV2 of Sonyetc. That process by -as-before its 1080x1440.

If you want to work strictly conform to the standard take one example, JVC HD 201 can HDV - Standard HDV1 or SonyEX1 / 3,
synonymous with a Panasonic HPX 301, HPX500, HPX2100 you have a good choice in 720p50 to produce for TV.

The EBU has issued such a recommendation, but it is not binding: Some important members of the EBU have decided nonetheless to 1080i as a broadcast standard.

Not necessarily. Send Even the German-ER transmitter, turn the 720p, even for the most part in 1080i. International Programs such as all major sports events ranging from the Football League are already produced in 1080i. For the broadcast on ARD, ZDF & Co. are then converted to 720p. The ZDF has indeed specifically set to 720p AVC-Intra (= Panasonic) as the official synonymous acquisition format, but I do not know to what extent this is already being implemented. "I bet know that.?" my knowledge is produced in 1080i.

"Standard" is a very elastic term. Nevertheless, one can probably assume that the future will control all the relevant handle both 720p camcorder as synonymous 1080i - some do it already and many shoulder cameras anyway.

Production companies such as Broadcast and Media SPORTCAST produce synonymous yes 'only' have to take in a 1080i and the ER Resolutionvon the signals.

As for me personally is the question of why we produced in 1080i? Would be for sports, like football better not 720p? I can imagine that football interlaced out and quite muddy again on the screen "smears", right?

@ Giliath
We produce since 2004 in 720p and regular supply of 60 TV stations with the products. So far there has been synonymous with respect to the format for such stations, no complaint, which broadcast in 1080i (eg BBC).
More emphasis is placed on other hand, that the Farbunterabtastung happens along their guidelines, so in 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 is not on, because this artifact can be avoided in the transmission path, the second by a subsampling only to light . come
Otherwise synonymous broadcasters transcode even if you do not submit it can.
You should therefore, if you want to make commercial products, eighth synonymous to the chroma subsampling.

Hmm, yes SonyEx1 one would ever be out of the race. Had read that the new Canon (name given is not known) probably donated a color sampling of 4:2:2.

@ WoWu
Draw ye synonymous with men at Henkel? And if so with what?
