Frage von brommbeer:Hey Guys,
For some time I'm totally confused ... maybe one or the other advice for me ...
Since I work in postproduction, I was always drummed into projects which will be released later on DVD, create more with the top field first, as the PAL scan synonymous with CRT monitors the top field first.
What makes me suspicious is that the presets work for Premiere / Final Cut / Apple Compressor / Encore With presets for PAL with the lower field first. So far I had always changed and the Programs with custom settings for the upper field order "forced".
But now, some DVDs with the lower field order and bear no Halbbildfehler produced on CRT monitors.
I understand that PAL DV is lower field order is set so that the presets synonymous. But it would have to be not on the tube TV has a Kammeffekt?
Or it is sampled new / read via the DVD player?
What Halbbildfehler would occur then? By material with the upper half frames in a sequence that is set to lower ....?
I know it's a rather embarrassing question, but you live and learn;)
Thanks for your answers!
Brommbeer!

, I had no experience with the above-mentioned programs. But with my Magix VDL is synonymous with the export settings "bottom field first" set. If any material has been imported correctly, however, and in the corresponding dialog box Interlaceverarbeitung Automatic "is checked, interpreted (usually) the program this information correctly and plays DVD with" Top field first out ".
After appropriate parameters you should look for in your programs.
But the various NLE's procedures as well very different.
Ifs the final product is not jerky (keyword "crab"), is all in order.

Halbbildfehler do not comment in Kammeffekten, but in a down-and-her-jerking. Instead of
AB CD EF (A half frame per letter), there are just
BA DC FE (Fields are swapped)
That is the mistake that one sees in the wrong field order.
Your Post-Production Training Association s.sich you has already said everything correctly, the s.sich is everything in this world "Top Field First", except just DV. So if you want to use DV in a TFF Project, the editing program must be supported so synonymous, correctly recognize and can change. Some Programs that can not - it jerky.
A DVD can be both as synonymous TFF BFF (Bottom Field First) - this is s.sich no problem. It is only important in this case the field order is embedded in the stream synonymous. You can take as a DV stream with BFF and convert it into an MPEG2 stream with TFF.
If the encoder is stupid, then he takes the field order of DV adds, but the stream the entry "a TFF. Does that material from s.Television then, it will stutter.
The encoder is not stupid, he transforms the fields according to TFF before he transforms into a MPEG2 stream.
If the encoder silly, the person operating it does not, then the person is in the field order on BFF and manual encoder das. Gets the DVD player which is then encoded to eat, he decodes the fields in the correct order and sends the analog image lines in the correct order s.die tube.
