Frage von CamDV:Hello everybody,
the first steps with my new Panasonic SD66 I have the problem to combine new and old worlds ". I want to convert the AVCHD-cut with Power Director movie into a mpg file so I can play the film via multimedia player s.einem 4:3 RöhrenTV. The mpg-creating works both with the Power Director as synonymous with the Main Concept MPEG Encoder 1.4. The problem is that no preference was what setting I tried, the picture is shown compressed. This is obviously s.den square pixels in the AVCHD stream.
Is there a setting in the above. Programs or software that enables the rectangular shape of pixels for display on a CRT TV?

Hi,
if you 1920x1080, which is 16:9, 4:3 walk in - you have a naturally squeezed Picture. Otherwise one would have to cut away parts of the Picture!
What do you want most is to make the video to anamorphic widescreen in PAL, that is 720x576 pixels (5:4) with a pixel aspect of 1.33, thus making it 16:9.
How does the Power Director, I do not unfortunately: (

Antwort von CamDV:
This is exactly my problem. Black bars I'm used to my TV (yes, almost everything is broadcast in 16:9). A 16:9 picture I get so synonymous with my conversions, but only unfortunately squashed. How do I get the MPG stream or the AVCHD stream in on my TV a pixel aspect ratio of 1.067 (as in anzuzuzeigen DV)?
Antwort von Tuffy:
If you take the pixel ratio of 1.067, get out of the 5:4 4:3 768x576 720x576 signal a (the equivalent now, it would be in accordance with 1.333 16:9 with 1024x576).
But this presupposes that the material is 5:4 - otherwise makes no sense. As your picture is much wider than 4:3, you'd have to trim the margin to the left and right - not sure that you want?
Consequently, you have no choice left but with a squeezed Picture Pixel aspect of .. 1.333?
Greetings!
