Frage von muecke:Video Hello Friends,
wish of my analog VHS-C camcorder tapes to DVD burn. Have a laptop without tv access. Questions:
1) What hardware do I need to move from the camcorder to the laptop, the VHS-C movies above ground?
2) What software do I need to then edit and burn movies to DVD then?
Since I am complete layman in the field, I would be very grateful for some good tips and advice.
Greeting Muecke

My tip ...
copy the VHS-C films via SCART or RCA on an external DVD recorder. Probably will cost no more than a "PC Card Analog Change "....:-)
This is extremely easy and you have them like Digital. Then the DVDs on the PC, "ripped" and you have it right in the proper format.
second option ....
Camcorder with analog inputs get (ausleiheh), the input signal can output via firewire synonymous again) (= PC firewire port and you are capturing it digitally ssCalculator.
Connecting the VHSC Cams on a PC converter (USB Box or capture card) is the worst solution, because too much loss.

PS
when do you have the videos on your PC (preferably in the PAL-AVI format) can cut it with any editing program. Most Prgr. already have an authoring function, and integrates an MPEG-2 encoder for the treatment for DVD. Unbeatable price, this offer, which contains the full version of Ulead's Media Studio, verse 7: http://www.pearl.de/pearl.jsp?screenX=1280&screenY=1024

I do not think it best if the recordings are to be reworked. Since DV -AVI/WAV would be better than an MPEG2 -/AC3-Compression. then he would have them over / on minidv copy. This of course is synonymous advance to purchase additional hardware that would be significantly more expensive ... right?
