Convert mov files into what useful - have already tried everything!!

Hi,
Kurzaufnahmen have some that I need for the university made it on my DVB-T stick.
Problem: Can not a popular player this format (to play spezilles MPEG2 format). So the latest QickTime Player7Pro-fetched (and paid). Thus these files can be of MPEG2 DVB-T to convert mov files and watch at least in the QuickTime Player.
