Frage von saturn:Hello, I have my last vacation with Pinnacle video editing, now I would like scenes from a purchased DVD with insert.
These are but as VOB files. I need for Pinnacle AVI,
how can I convert these into my own and insert video?
Which program do I need and what format must exist?
Using a tip I would be super grateful.
Gruss saturn

Hi!
I myself know of no program, which multiplex the files (which are VOBs) into AVI, specifically for Pinnacle synonymous readable form. The problem with AVI: Behind these three letters, they can hide a variety of codecs ... Motion JPEG, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, etc. ... and an MPEG2 of Matrox is still a long way to Pinnacle if you have bad luck!
Therefore, make it easy conventionally: If you have an analog video input, then the living room DVD player, disk clean and eindigitalisieren! WARNING ... Laws note * cough *
What else is not me!

As for the circumvention of any copy protection is concerned, I'll give no hints (see http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/55297 and as a legal assessment http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/58249).
Otherwise, read times http://forum.slashcam.de/dvd-zu-unkomprimiertem-avi-welches-programm-vp177293.html
Target format should be DV-AVI. This should make any editing program can handle.
