But he speaks of an existing YT video that he probably would like to embed synonymous with the YT player on his site.
And since there on YT Zig news clips or TV are contributions - so yes it would have to actually have, say, the link be banned from a blog on such a contribution.

Just because someone makes something available online, it relieves you as a website operator is not of your duty of care. This a video on Youtube is available does not mean it is copyright hesitation.
If you want to be on the safe page, so I would be the embedding. One can always blame you that you have a copyright-protected content available on your page do, without having obtained the right to disseminate. That the video is not on your server is, there is secondary.
You as a bind a music video, the user of XYZ was uploaded to YouTube, and then finds the author of the video your page, it will ask you for a copyright to the checkout and not go to the search for Youtube User XYZ. Then there is s.Dir, this damage s.Youtube pass. But that is determined at all easy.
I would recommend you more than links to the video on your own web page to publish. Synonymous but this can lead to legal problems. Unfortunately, everything is a gray area in the case of decided case.
