Hello,
I have a SONY DCR-TRV420E Pal and got me to buy now a helmet camera. When I s.den the helmet camera to the AV input I get Sonyanschließe synonymous in play mode, the Picture of the helmet camera, but in the memory mode, it only takes the Picture of the Sonyauf. With the Sony hotline they told me that this is not working at the Camera via the AV connector except perhaps on the Lanc port. This camera would not be compatible with a helmet camera.
Is that so?
Eigendlich I have informed me beforehand, and according to some websites, this camera is compatible.

When my older
(unlocked) TRV110E is it that AV input only works in
play mode. In
Record mode, the AV switch port as output. A
memory mode does not exist.
To one with my camera in play mode, recording start, I need to use various tricks, because the control panel and remote control did not provide this function the camera in Play mode.
The tricks were) the modification of a remote control (uncovering hidden buttons, the use of another remote control for example of a Sony video recorder, or - here it comes - the use of a LANC control command from an external box.
On my unlocked PC6, it is again slightly different. There is also joined by unlocking even a record button in the touch screen menu. But this camera can only eh DV-IN and no analog-in.
As far as I know, is the neutered TRV420E Of Sonyaus synonymous to DV-OUT only. Only unlocking enables DV-IN and AV-IN recording. In principle, I expect that the record with this camera then works just like my camera.

The 420 still has the white / red RCA audio jacks or already the multipolar jack with audio and video combination? There must be at least the audio signal pure. The microphone input s.der Camera brings nothing.
But ... This is then a LINE-IN as you perhaps of the sound card or an amplifier know. There is no MIC-IN. A microphone is too weak to provide a suitable signal to LINE. Even if it is a better Microphone with their own power supply is.
Remedy is to hang the Micro s.einen small preamp and thereby create a line-compatible signal. Tips which preamp, battery-synonymous to go, there were already here in the forum. But I am currently looking to strack and then to only give keywords for your own search ;-)
Someone with ambitions for the shooting of the bike from had found a cheap kit of Pollin built, and it went on.
Another had used a small audio mixer with MIC-in for it. These things are available on EBay.
It could be synonymous with other devices mic-in and line-out test such as a MiniDisc recorder, etc. if it is just sowas at hand.

I will be smart but not from the manual if you have to do it every time, or is there a way to ALWAYS be recorded on tape. If possible, I would try it once, without putting the memory stick into the camera on. In the worst case it may mean that you need a special LANC-FB, the necessary switching commands synonymous not only to send start / stop ...

I have the TRV420e synonymous and the same problem. Lt. all possible sources and descriptions is part of the AV-in, it appears synonymous Picture of the external analog source on the screen of your camcorder, but I can not record - simply because the keys are missing.
You have not written with a different remote control, it would possibly go - I had one of a Sony video recorder here. Bloss which keys I need? Press

Press First Check if the remote control will be accepted by the camcorder. Put to a tape, and switch the camcorder to PLAYER mode. Now try out the remote control commands for the drive functions. If this works, you just press the RECORD button so that the camcorder takes up the external source.
