I'm just as busy with extensive views. It all sounds very interesting. It is called linear bearings. With a slider you can pan the camera and slide while in addition, without the falling of the camera. So, a quasi-fixed mount dolly.
Depending on the camera weight, gravity, etc. can move the bearings times heavier and easier times. What's really great: This can be calculated online. That one goes on http://www.igus.de, goes on "Products" then click "DryLin linear bearings," then "System selection / life calculation. We choose the application below left, which states: "DryLin ® W management system module.
There one enters all data, including gravity, how much n.man per year on the track runs, etc.
One s.end get a complete calculation for durability, strength, with which one can move the car and then next. Extends one's not from s.end, you simply change the pipe diameter, and thus increases the life span, and reduced it by the force.
Since all parts are made of aluminum, they are making it very easy. (This is synonymous of pipe thickness and starting distance between the pipes. According to my calculations submit Rochrdurchmesser of 10mm for cameras up to 9kg in any case.)
The parts can be put together at will. This would be sent (usually shipping from Cologne). The parts are:
1. Guide rail (up to 4m long)
2. Bearing Wager (fully assembled) - single or 2-4 glider and a metal plate.
These two products were the (then on www.igus.de):
* Item: WW-16-60-10 = W DRYLINER Carria
* CODE: WAS-16-60 = W DRYLINER RAIL
Attention to the diameter and the spacing of the pipes! (For the carriages and guideways therein vary!)
Overall, I'm so on for about 65 ¬ 1m, ¬ 100 for 2m rail length.
The system mounted on a tripod is no problem (if it is played along with the tripod), the camera could be synonymous easy to assemble, thus saving the second set and tripod head. Up / Down can be synonymous with the normal swing tripod. The tripod head so you can still upgrade later ;-)
I have even dedicated camera threaded bolts are so that I can attach the camera quickly and without problems.
Another tip: Sets under leather or solid substance, so that the camera is not scratched, if you firmly mounted.

I have a 16mm length (tube) 180cm () for ¬ 185.87 and one 10mm 75cm ¬ 89.54 DryLin Lineargleiter "both with sleds bought at igus.
Arbitrary applications for the 75cm long enough imho slider completely out and is not too heavy.

Somehow you have to have miscalculated because:
WS-16-60 (1) -> 62.86 EUR
WW-16-60-10 -> 37.55 EUR
Together almost exactly ¬ 100. This one still needs fixing on the tripod, which is certainly synonymous again calculated with 20 ¬ is, if one wants to properly do it halfway.
All in all, it should come with no tripod and tripod head so to around 120 ¬. Shipping is included, if I understand it.

Hey,
if you have a tripod, a tripod has been synonymous plate. So are exchanged in the plate, only the screw. Since I got the screw as me does not cost a great deal. As described in the price is not a specialized tripod head included, since the camera is fixed.
If you have a tripod without a tripod head, it's even easier because you just take a larger screw ...
If we take a tripod head to it is obviously more expensive. But it comes with 100 ¬ for 2m already gone quite well!

Can the Igus, DryLin recommend any matters only highly ambitious videographers.
I Have the system increased from about half a year and am very satisfied.
The service of Igus is really more than committed. So I was immediately called back to my question about the DryLin system of a technician who is responsible for the region, and comprehensive counseling.
Who has the ability to milling, can tease out from the rail again a few grams.
System can equip themselves synonymous with toothed belt or spindle, so that the camera could even move a motor. Is a very flexible and modular structured Baukastensysten.
