Frage von rundabout:Servus leute,
I was not so long but now have movies on the Calculator now 800GB DV raw material - I would like to compress it.
Just with what format?
What is the codec may be the best in order to later be able to cut synonymous to?
Am always grateful for any tip ;-)

800GB DV ... raw ... What is the codec may be the best in order to later be able to cut synonymous to? ... The one in which the recordings are already: DV-AVI. At the current prices of hard disks there are actually no reason, wanted the archival quality to deteriorate, save a few GB to?
Antwort von rundabout:
Hm naja this may be but a tape has to 20GB and the same in MPEG or H.264 1-2GB? That would be yet emenz ...
Another consideration would be rauszuschneiden really not usable material. Then I have to export it, and yet which lossless codec (Losless) there is the normal or "Avi"?
Sorry for the Beginners ask!
Antwort von B.DeKid:
Sach times what film do you all?
A tape has 13GB for 60min
I would see the tapes themselves to use as a storage reserve / and do not load any tape on the calculator but does not need a man!
And only when you're done with everything (editing / FX) then you kompremierst the material as MPEG2

PS The cut finished Project synonymous spreichern straight back to tape. Before you can render it small.
