Hello,
would like about 20 SVHS tapes with my new Canapus ADCV digitizer 55.
As hardware, I have a new Vista PC (Aldi) ADCV the 55 and my old tape FS1 Panasonic SVHS.
My question is what software for capturing, cutting, etc. and Vista is well tolerated and easy to use for beginners. Because I have no time for me to incorporate in complicated software.

I have listed below in the configuration with Vista64 and Pinnacle Studio 11 very good experiences. Pinnacle 11 supports analog capture synonymous - synonymous if I no longer have much Erfahtung.

Nachdenken synonymous, I would if I still expensive (USB -) wanted to continue accessories, for which there is no Vista (64)-Drivers there. But otherwise there is no reason not to take Vista. I'm really - despite all the fears - very pleasantly surprised. My configuration is 100% stable and superperformant!

Comparison with other here. I have both a Vista, synonymous as an XP system. Both are running around and absolutely reliable.

Vista and DV editing are still elements, whose association with major problems is.
Since Vista has only 1 Gbyte s.RAM swallowing, remains for the editing system is correspondingly less. In addition, there are other problems.

One can simply not leave a lump sum: I do not doubt that for you it is exactly as you describe it, but I have my VISTA and XP installed in parallel. In my hardware configuration (see below) wins - although I had expected it differently - clearly VISTA, like my video of PC-Bauer predicted (I do not want to believe).

After the disaster with the first service pack and some experiences from the friends I leave for a while the fingers of Vista. migrate the OS, I would probably NEVER when my old OS would be stable and meets my needs. There are enormous risks and effort associated with. This is with me every Spieltrieb long extinguished.
My supplier for the NEW PC DV editing has given me but Vista64 urgently admitted to guessing. However, I have XP on it, there was a parallel installation to get the theater because I am a "young" know BS (with XP's then yes the same) and of course I knew synonymous critical reporting on Vista.
Meanwhile, I could live alone with Vista, because I really almost nothing negative yet learned (except that my web cam and the scanner does not have Vista drivers). DV editing, I am still under Vista, because NMM runs better experience. But I surf and do the office work under XP. So have the two OS on my calculator synonymous permanently their meaning.
PS. Install service packs, I always only when I absolutely need it. While I wait grundsätzich from. That is a BS-synonymous change "in the small". XP SP2 when I had synonymous only 1 year after the release installed ....
