Think such a camcorder is cheaper than a DV VTR ...

What you need is a MiniDV camcorder with AV input (no DV-IN!), Which of the Video8 or S-VHS players transferred analog video into digital data to convert it. jupp with the jvc it should work. I use to use dioesem than my analog recorders for a cam-gr d jvc 230e
