But as far as I know, you can only directly with the canon of av.in on pc games, and not by the av-in on kasette.

Hello,
At Canon, we see the models with AV / DV IN si easy to Canon XM 1 / 2.
Canon makes no difference as synonymous SonyHC 22 only DV IN, 32 DV + AV IN, each i model has DV + AV IN (at least those I know).
That each have a DV camera out, a DV IN (but of the Canon is blocked) is correct. Markus had the time, I think states (customs regulations, a model is taxed in much more expensive Canon DV out as a model, hence the difference)
Used to be able, many models in software / IT widget (So I'll have done) unlock (with MiniDV DV IN in DIGI8 AV + DV IN), unfortunately it is today without difficulty breaking through the barrier.
How it looks with AV IN I do not know (if SonyDigi8 can even suggest the same because there will be unlocked AV + DV IN).
The connection of the DV / AV - IN / out is correct, we do not even have 2 DV or AV jacks (Usually)
Select Most models with AT must be "in the menu DV / AV IN / OUT.
Your Camera of work but has side only outputs, so AV in is not in principle there.
DV In synonymous only with great difficulty, in Rovotech, DV IN.DE ask if there is something.

No, a video signal (together with line audio) is something other than a microphone signal. It should be synonymous s.Camcorders two different connections for AV output and Microphone input so far. ;-)
