Hello,
My SonyTRV950E is not recognized under Windows XP. The camcorder is display when playing DV IN if the cable is inserted.
Alternatively, I tried a JVC of a friend. Cable comes in - immediately recognized the camera.
Have you any idea what could be the reason.
S.Computer Probably not - there have tried on 2 different systems.

I use a "normal firewire cable." Since this configuration is gone already, I do not think that the cable is a problem.

The same problem I had in fact synonymous. Cam had s.eine normal firewire cable and it went on.
Then I wanted to go back and edit what put the cable and suddenly she was no longer recognized. Have synonymous bought a new Firewire cable. Nothing happened.
Now I went to a neighbor of the original i-Link Cable Of Sonyhat. As soon as I put the plug in DV Out and the PC immediately recognized, as it should be the camera. I do not know why and how synonymous. I feel that everything Schleierhaft synonymous, synonymous, but I have an original Sony I-Link Cable ordered now.

The non-functioning cable ... were the very cheap with wire contacts or even slightly better with flexible Flachzungen? Electronically different Firewire cable so not of the original iLink.

They were the contacts with wire, just as I would say as a layman.
My advice to any jedenfall expensive for a cable, then you have not synonymous problems.

That's interesting. I have a SonyTVR-480 E. When I connect the nothing happens. Test, I used to have plugged the camera of my father, because Windows has detected a new device immediately. brings an i-link cable really the solution? This can not say a flat rate. When displaying the camcorder DV-IN, was recognized at least the connection to the Calculator, which in turn suggests the conclusion that the cable is the cause of your concern.

well, I had exactly the same problem with one TRV60E. I'll make it but not put out on dv to pc and therefore does not recognize the camera.

The camera is of my neighbors and it has been synonymous geklapppt once. I think it was a different kabe. have now tried 3 different firewire cable. but none helps. the cable with which it has worked time is probably no longer exists ...
Who can help?
