I've received a question about DV.
I have a Panansonic NV 280 and will include live events, unfortunately, it hours to go to 3. The scenario is that I will have 40-50 GB of video but this is not the problem. I am looking for a program with which I can see my DV cam as a video source, and take my sound card as an audio source. The programs of the Studio DV editing softwares always take the audio signal of the DV cam. How does it look like with Virtualdub. I read it on the avi's that are larger than 4GB abschmiert. I need to stop a program that lets me record without interruptions to 50GB DV. The standard to make the program even there, but I can not take my sound card as audio source.

With the computing power of modern systems, although it should be possible to capture (DV, WAV via sound card capture, in real time the audio stream of the DV file and replace it with the separate discard WAV), but it is a very special request. I know of no software that allows it. The closest I could imagine that it is a hardware based DV Mixer.
Alternatively, do not see two solutions: either via an attenuator and the mic input of your camcorder (which go to the camcorder should offer manual level control). Or record the sound via the sound card separately and create later.

Hi guys
Thanks for your overview. But I can not believe that there is no program that allows me to do. Virtualdub kanns yes, only the 4 GB limit bothers me, and add some strips together to me would be too stupid. I want the material is then immediately burn to a DVD without editing. (no DV editing, effects).
DV Capture -> with Procoder to convert -> DVD burn.
To My Pc ye you must not worry who has the power all the time. Pentium D 3.0 GHZ with 2GB working memory and 250GB. I wanted to create not a video card because the PC has cost me already Genung and I thought that I have a firewire card for the DV Cam is the best and cheapest solution. DV reaches all times, even for professionals.
I hope that maybe someone else can give me a program that fulfilled my special request. May cost a little synonymous or contains just a cheap tool programmed this feature.
