Antwort von K.-D. Schmidt:
You can play on the PC100E DVCAM tapes and hence capture synonymous.
In my now somewhat older PC100E occurs occasionally blocks the formation of what was formerly the case.
Just try it.

Antwort von Markus:
Hello you two,
perhaps you have talked at each other: Chris wants to play MiniDV tapes, which have been recorded in DVCAM mode. K.-D. other hand, describes the playback of DVCAM volumes (which were recorded in DV mode?).
(Mini) DV - and (mini) DVCAM and DV tapes can both both - as synonymous in DVCAM mode are recorded. The biggest difference is the gauge of these video formats, which amounts to 10 microns in DV and DVCAM at 15 microns. Consequently DVCAM tapes run a little faster.
Some (mini) DV device can play back DVCAM format, others are not. Often this is not in the instructions of the consumer camcorder documented, which is only one way to find that out: try it out.
Conversely, however, all DVCAM recorder capable of tapes recorded in DV mode, playback (backward compatibility).

Antwort von K.-D. Schmidt:
Certainly not talking past each other!
I only wanted to shorter (and thus take less precise).
Meant was that, what Mark described in detail.
