Hello ....
have the dvd + RW8165 of ricoh .... firmware is 1:03 ... normal cds can easily burn it, but when I try to burn a dvd with 4gb, although he starts as usual, but after about 30%, he reports an error and the burn is canceled ...
a dvd to about 1.4 gb it burns easily and the cd is then synonymous to read, but everything about it is not running ... burn share've tried in several small synonymous to each (500 mb s.stück) ... which is synonymous to total about 1.4 gb on a cd ...
somebody has an idea why that might be? incorrect settings?
I have to burn CDBurnerXP Pro 3 and uses AVS Disc Creator ...

Have you tried it as a multisession DVD, as you've burned the 500 MB Parts? If not then try again.
If you not get anywhere else, would be the next way to test the device in another PC, try other blanks or in doubt (it's exchanged for a new one NP about 40Euro). LG DVD RW are recommended here.

Brand Blanks of the big manufacturers (TDK, Sony, Maxell, etc.) are always better than NoName Spindle & Co.Viele the major brands they refer actually Verbatin and labeln of it just to Verbatin therefore synonymous ne good choice.
